We are HES Catering
We take pride in being the in-house service provider for the London Borough of Havering. We supply a wide range of high-quality catering services to the majority of schools within the borough, and have partnerships with other schools outside of Havering. We offer bespoke solutions and assistance to individual schools and businesses that have their own in-house catering teams. Our secret to success is our amazing colleagues who are bursting with experience and carefully prepare healthy, fresh, vibrant, and tasty meals with the highest quality produce for our partner schools.
Our food
Our meals are prepared by our catering teams using carefully selected ingredients. We focus on providing balanced, appealing food that keeps pupils fuelled throughout the school day.
Something for everyone
Our menus are packed with variety, with different dishes to enjoy throughout the three-week menu cycle. Alongside our daily menu, pupils can always choose from familiar favourites, including pasta dishes, baguettes, fresh fruit, cheese and crackers, and the salad bar – so there’s always something to suit different tastes and appetites.
Why choose Us?
We’re committed to giving pupils a great start with nutritious, balanced meals that support them throughout the school day and encourage positive food choices for the future. Our Food for Life award-winning approach prioritises fresh, sustainable and locally sourced ingredients, with many dishes prepared from scratch by our catering teams. Beyond the lunch menu, we work with schools to bring healthy eating to life through activities including Ready Steady Cook events, smoothie making, healthy snack tasters and sensory sessions. Sustainability is also an important part of how we operate, from reducing food miles and packaging to cutting food and other waste through our ISO 14001:2015 accredited Environmental Management System.
