HES Catering Services Jo Tighe & Mandy Divall were on hand during the Kids Activity Expo held at Coopers Company & Coburn School on Sunday 6th May. Activities on the stand included a colouring competition  Treasure Hunt and a guess the fruit competition, there was also a raffle with all proceeds going to the “First Steps” charity prizes were awarded on the day and a great time was had by all who attended.

The first bikes to be won through the Veggie Run app, have been presented by Head of Catering Dennis Brewin, to lucky participants within our schools in Havering.

HES Catering Services are delighted to announce that we have retained our Soil Association Food for Life Silver Standard for all our primary school menus. Our new Spring/Summer menu has seen an increase in homemade meals from 75% to 88%. We are always seeking to improve our menus to ensure children get the healthiest possible menus with the freshest ingredients.

Veggie Run was launched yesterday at Engayne School, with the help of ours sponsors Everyone Active, Quorn & Cycle UK. All the children of Engayne gave the game the thumbs up!. Our Head of Catering Dennis Brewin was on hand during the launch after an early morning radio spot of BBC Radio London promoting the app.

HES Catering would like to say a big thank you to all the staff and children of Engayne School for all their input in the creation of the game.

Tomorrow at Engayne Primary School we will be officially launching our Mobile Healthy Eating App “Veggie Run”  The media and local press will be present to report on this ground-breaking fun app for children to encourage them to eat healthily. There will also be fun prizes to be won for both children and schools.

So get ready to play, Your school will issue you a code which you should enter upon registration and you can then play against friends and schools to see who can get the most points and answer the most questions on food

Our Crunch Bunch inspired game “Veggie Run” will be available to download from itunes or Google play soon, this fun filled game featuring the nine characters from the “Crunch Bunch” will help children understand which food and snacks are healthy and what to avoid. Win exciting prizes for yourself and your school by completing the levels and seeing who can reach the top of the leaderboard for your school!
