The Challenge

Reduce queuing times in main dining hall during breaktimes and increase sales

What we did

HES Catering Services invested in a new cashless catering system and worked with the school to provide a purpose built temporary playground shack for break time use to drive up our income.

Outcome

Since the introduction of these initiatives we recorded an increased uptake-up of approx. 20%. This allowed us to further develop our offering and we introduced our new “Delish” brand in 2016 which has been positively received by staff and pupils.  This new identity has given new opportunities to work more closely with the school to identify joint initiatives to improve the service e.g. Queuing and mid-day support.
